HISTORY

According to Richard Sallet, in 1891, a group of Volga Germans settled on former forestland around Canby, Oregon, south of Portland, Oregon.


VOLGA GERMAN FAMILIES

The following Volga German families are known to have settled in the Canby, Butteville, Hubbard, and Gervais areas south of Portland:
