The congregation in Jost was part of the Warenburg Lutheran Parish which had been established in 1770.
Jost was a Lutheran colony, founded on 5 July 1767 by LeRoy & Pictet.
The colony of Jost no longer exists. The location of the streets, however, is still visible from satellite images.
