Ludwig Heinrich Ziegler, son of Bernhard & Maria Agnes Ziegler, was born 11 December 1722 and baptized on 12 December 1722 in the Bitzfeld Evangelical Church, today located in the Neckarkreis district of Baden-Württemburg. He married Anna Katharina (surname unknown), who had been born in 1723. They had two children: Johann Adam, born in 1756, and Anna Katharina, born in 1759.
Ludwig Heinrich and his family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), departing from Altona, Duchy of Holstein, on 15 May 1761 under the leadership of Nikolaus Ernst. They arrived in the city of Schleswig, Duchy of Schleswig, on 20 May 1761.
A short time after their arrival, a new boy was born; they named him Johann Michael. The family is recorded in Denmark until 1 May 1765, when they immigrated to Russia.
The Ziegler family arrived in the colony of Galka on 12 April 1766. Ludwig Heinrich Ziegler, his wife, and their children are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 42.
Sons Johann Michael & Johann Adam are registered in Galka on the 1798 Census in Households No. Gk06 & Gk62, respectively.
