Johann Georg Wiedemann, son of Johann Georg Wiedemann & Anna Margaretha Fischkorn, was born on 19 January 1712 in Pfaffenhofen, southwest of Heilbronn. He married Christina Katharina Hasen, daughter of Leonhard Hasen, on 10 November 1733 in Pfaffenhofen.
They had twelve children, each born in Pfaffenhofen, except the third one, who was born in Weiler an der Zaber, next to Pfaffenhofen: (1) Johannes (baptized 1 October 1734); (2) Johann Georg (born 14 September 1736); (3) Johann Jakob (born 14 July 1739); (4) Elisabetha Margaretha (born 1 September 1742); (5) Johann Georg, again (born 14 March 1744); (6) Johann Leonhard (born 28 December 1745); (7) Christina (born 22 December 1747); (8) Johann Michael (born 27 February 1750; died 15 October 1750); (9 & 10) twins Johann Balthasar & Katharina Elisabetha (born 14 December 1751; Katharina Elisabetha died 29 December 1751); (11) Elisabetha Barbara (born 15 April 1755; died 16 June 1755); and (12) Katharina Elisabetha, again (born 13 August 1756).
Johann Georg Sr., his wife, and four of their children immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), departing from Altona in the Duchy of Holstein on 7 June 1762 under the leadership of Christoph Paquet. They arrived in the city of Flensburg in the Duchy of Schleswig on 12 June 1762. At some point before 1763, son Johann Georg (born 1744) married Katharina Legler, daughter of Leonhard Legler, and they had a son, Johann (Christoph or Adam) born in 1763. The other son of Johann Georg Sr., Johann Leonhard, married a Katharina. All of them lived in Denmark until 22 Apr 1765, when they immigrated to Russia.
In 1765, during the transport to the Volga German colonies, Johann Leonhard & Katharina had a baby who was named Johann Ludwig. Johann Georg Wiedemann Sr., and his son Johann Leonhard arrived in the Volga German colony of Dönhof on 21 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Households No. 36 & 37. Johann Georg Jr. arrived in the colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 Reinwald census in Household No. 12 (errantly recorded as Wittmann in some sources).
Johann Georg Sr. died before 1798. Johann Georg Jr. moved to Dönhof and is recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Dh39. Johann Leonhard is registered in Household No. Dh46. Johann Leonard's son, Johann Ludwig, moved to Kutter in 1788 and is recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Kt17.
