Johann Michael Wollet, son of Johann Jacob & Christina Magdalena Wollet, was born in Häfnerhaslach, Württemberg, on 21 March 1722 and baptized there the following day. He married on 26 May 1744 in Häfnerhaslach to Catharina Hassen.
They are known to have had at least 8 children while living in Häfnerhaslach each born & baptized in Häfnerhaslach: (1) Georg Christoph (born 27 April 1745; baptized 28 April 1745); (2) Johann Jakob (born 21 June 1746; baptized 22 June 1746); (3) Susanna Magdalena (born 4 January 1749; baptized 5 January 1749); (4) Christoph Michael (born 20 August 1751; baptized 21 August 1721); (5) Regina Katharina (born 17 August 1755; baptized 18 August 1755; died 23 August 1755); (6) Susanna Katharina (born 11 March 1757; baptized 12 March 1757); (7) Regina Katharina, again (born & baptized 14 July 1760); and (8) Christina Magdalena (born 11 March 1751; baptized 12 March 1751).
Johann Michael Wolet and his family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), departing from Altona, Duchy of Holstein, on 29 June 1761 under the leadership of Johann Thomas Gabler. They arrived in the city of Schleswig, Duchy of Schleswig, on 4 July 1761. There they had at least one additional child (Leonhard, born in 1763). The family is recorded as deserting the Danish settlement there on 13 July 1764.
The family immigrated to Russia, arriving in the colony of Dreispitz on 16 September 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Households No. 10 (parents and the younger children), No. 20 (oldest son Georg Christoph & his family), and No. 6 (second son Johann Jacob & his new wife).
At some point before 1798 Johann Michael Volet and his son Johann Jakob died. Georg Christoph & Christoph Michael are recorded on 1798 Dreispitz census in Households No. Dr12 & Dr37; other descendants are registered in Households No. Dr11 & Dr27.
Descendants of this family also spell the surname as Wollet, Wollert, Vol(l)et, or Vol(l)ert.
