Nikolaus Stamm was born in 1737 in Kellenbach. He married to Anna Maria Gabel (born in 1739) on 23 February 1764 in the Catholic Church in Hessheim.
Also from Kellenbach are Johannes Stamm (born in 1746) and his brother Peter (born in 1751). Exactly how Nikolaus is related to Johannes and Peter is unknown at this time.
This group of Stamms from Kellenbach immigrated to Russia, arriving from Rewal at the port in Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin. They arrived in the colony of Göbel on 25 May 1767.
During the journey to the Volga German colonies, Johannes married Katharina Hammel, daughter of Johannes & Gertruda Hammel who were from Mainz. They are recorded on the 1767 Census of Göbel in Household No. 43 along with brother Peter. Nikolaus and his family are recorded there in Household No. 2.
On the 1798 census of Göbel , Johannes and his family are recorded in Household No. Gb35. Other Stamm descendants are recorded in Household Nos. Gb16 & Gb36.
Peter's widow remarried and moved to Husaren along with his children. They are recorded there on the 1798 Census in Household No. Hn04.
