Description
Johann Conrad Schenck, son of Johann Just Schenck & Anna Elisabeth Kalb, was born on 16 July 1742 in Billertshausen. He immigrated to Russia, arriving at the port in Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766. Once in Russia, he married Anna Margaretha Barbara Eich, daughter of Sebastian Eich & Sophia Philippina Ramge, who had been on the same ship from Germany to Russia, and they settled in the colony of Dobrinka. There they are recorded on the 1767 Census in Household No. 74.
