Johann Lingelbach, son of Heinrich Lingelbach, was born 29 June 1747 in Grünberg, just east of Giessen. His godfather was Johannes Lingelbach. He immigrated to Russia and arrived in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the Anna Catharina, with Daniel Geier at the helm. His wife Catharina was with him.
They arrived in the colony of Orlovskaya on 7 June 1767, and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 46. In 1794, they moved to Ober-Monjou, and are recorded there on the 1798 Census in Household No. Om33.
