Description

According to the Sterbfritz parish records, Johann Adam Koch, son of Thomas Koch, was born in Breunings and baptized on 26 August 1731.  According to the Gründau parish records, Anna Catharina Bechtoldt, daughter of Conrad Bechtoldt, was born in Roth and baptized on 16 December 1725.  The couple married in Roth on 9 November 1752. They had six children, all born in Roth:  Anna Elisabetha, born 11 August and baptized 15 August 1753; Johann Casimir, born 16 February, baptized 19 February 1755; Anna Maria, born 4 December and baptized 7 December 1757; Maria Louisa, born 12 March, baptized 14 March, and died 15 March 1760; Maria Elisabetha, born 19 March baptized 23 March 1761; and Johann Heinrich, born 16 January and baptized 22 January, 1764.  The family arrived in Russia on 9 August 1766.  The couple and their three oldest children settled in Norka and are reported there on the First Settler's List in Family #61.
