Johann Heinrich Hoch was born about 1700 in Bergen, Germany (Hanau). He married Anna Katharina and arrived in Frank in 1767 with her and 2 children. They are recorded on the 1767 census of Frank in Household No. 12.
The Hoch lineage has been traced back to Hans Hack from Bleichenbach. The name is recorded through the years in German records as Hack, Heck, Haak, and Hoch.
