Philipp Heun was born in Rommers (located in the Herrschaft Gersfeld under the Reichsrittern von Ebersberg) on 1 May 1725. He arrived with his family in Oranienbaum, Russia, on 14 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Reders. He arrived in Frank on 1 September 1767 with his wife and 3 children.
The earliest ancestor is Peter Heun who was the mayor of nearby Gersfeld, Germany, in 1649.
Hein families moved from Frank to Brunnental in 1863 and 1869.
