Andreas Damm, son of Johannes Georg Damm & Catharina Eisen, was born 23 September 1739 in Bühl, southwest of Baden-Baden (today in the state of Baden-Württemberg). He married Margaretha. They and their young son immigrated to Russia, arriving at the port in Oranienbaum on 31 July 1766. Margaretha and his son died before the 1767 Census was taken, since Andreas and a new wife (Agnessa) appear there on this census in Household No. 11 along with a newborn daughter Elisabeth.
