Johann Heinrich Braun and Elisabetha Catharina Seitz (daughter of Johannes Seitz) married in Heckenbergheim on 8 Jan 1751. The couple arrived in Russia on 19 Sep 1766 with 3 children: Anna Catharina, b. 23 Apr 1751; Margaretha (baptism not found); and Johannes, b. 13 May 1761.
The family settled in Walter and is recorded on the First Settler’s List in Family #80.
Heckenbergheim is near Gelnhaar and Usenborn and is today called Bergheim.
Three Braun families from Walter relocated to Brunnental in 1859.
