Johann Heinrich Betz (son of Johann Martin and Anna Margretha Betz) was baptized in Wenings on 12 Oct 1731. Anna Sibilla Krumm (daughter of Johannes and Elisabeth Krumm) was baptized in Wenings on 17 Jul 1732. The couple married on 24 Mar 1756. The baptisms of three children are recorded in the Wenings parish records: Johanna Elisabetha, born 23 Nov, baptized 25 Nov 1759; Johanna Maria, born 10 May, baptized 16 May 1762; and Johann Conrad, born 21 Sep, baptized 25 Sep 1764. The family arrived in Russia on 29 Aug 1766. The two youngest children must have died at some point during the journey to the villages. The surviving family members settled in Norka and are reported the in First Settler List Family #184.
