Jacob Balthasar Binder, son of Caspar Binder, married Margaretha Doebele, daughter of Friedrich Doebele, on 10 Oct 1728 in the Evangelical Church in Erlenbach, about 4 kilometers northeast of Heilbronn city, in Baden-Württemberg.
They had nine known children, each of them baptized in the Evangelical Church in Paffenhofen, about 19 kilometers southwest of Heilbronn city: (1) Philippina Dorothea, baptized on 11 Jan 1730 [she married to Johann Jacob Britsch on 26 April 1757 in Pfaffenhofen]; (2) Margaretha Barbara, baptized on 22 January 1732, and died on 10 January 1740; (3) Rosina, born on 22 January 1733, and baptized on 23 January 1733 [she married to Johann Valentin Schoch], and died in Pfaffenhofen on 14 March 1799; (4) Jacob Balthasar, born & baptized on 27 August 1735; (5) Johann Lorentz, born on 24 August 1737, and died on 18 November 1738; (6) Anna Barbara, born on 6 January 1740, and baptized on 7 January 1740; (7) Johann Caspar, born on 15 April 1741, and baptized on 16 April 1741; (8) Catharina, born on 20 July 1744; and (9) Justina Magdalena, born on 27 August 1747, baptized on 28 August 1747, and died on 13 September 1747.
Jacob Balthasar Binder Sr., his wife, and four of their children emigrated to Denmark. They departed from Altona, Duchy of Holstein, on 7 June 1762, under the leadership of Christoph Paquet, and arrived in the city of Flensburg, Duchy of Schleswig, on 12 June 1762, where they are recorded as Bender.
Jacob Balthasar Bender Sr. & Jr. lived in Denmark until 22 April 1765, when they departed to Russia. On 21 July 1766, they arrived in the colony of Dönhof where they are recorded on the 1767 Census in Households No. 39 & 40.
Descendants of this family are recorded living in Dönhof on the 1798 census.
