Johannes Bechtold and his wife Anna Catharina Bechtold had three children according to the Schwickartshausen parish records. All three were born in Eckartsborn: Johann Adam, born 1 July, baptized 3 July 1757; Elisabetha Margaretha, born 28 December, baptized 30 December 1759; and Rebecca, born 15 June, baptized 17 June 1763.
The family arrived in Russia on 15 September 1766. Johannes and Rebecca died during the journey to the villages. Widow Anna Catharina and her two surviving children settled in Walter and are reported there in First Settler's List Family #64.
