Biography
Karl Friedrich Wahlberg was born 29 December 1791 in Luumäki, Finland, son of Pastor Christian Adolf Wahlberg and Sara Katharina Backman. He died 5 December 1882 in Katharinenstadt. In 1824, he married Anna Dorothea Elisabeth Buck, daughter of Pastor Johann Heinrich Buck and Elisabeth Müller, in Rosenheim. She was born 15 August 1809 in Katharinenstadt and died in 1878 in Katharinenstadt.
From 1810 to 1812, he was a student of theology in Dorpat, Estonia. In 1813, he began teaching at the Trivialschule in Lovisa, Finland. He was ordained on 28 January 1821, and served from 1821 to 1877 the Reformed parish in Katharinenstadt (South).
