Biography
Pastor Philipp Jakob Hiemer, son of Pastor Eberhard Friedrich Hiemer & Christina Dorothea Seefels, was born 9 July 1770 in Rottenacker, Ehingen, Württemburg. He began his schooling in Winnenden, and in 1784 began study at the monastery in Denkendorf, Maulbronn. He began his study of theology on 27 October 1788 in Tübingen. He served in Galka from 1796-1804, and in Grimm from 1804 until his death there on 23 November 1814.
He married in St. Petersburg on 5 August 1796 to Alexandrine Elisabeth Weitbrecht, daughter of the staff surgeon Johann Heinrich Weitbrecht.
